About the Migration Urban Hub
The Migration Urban Hub seeks to empower local governmental officials through data and information, to better understand urban migration dynamics and share good practices for more effective urban migration policies. It also serves as platform for the MC2CM project.
The MC2CM City Migration Profiles Synthesis Report gives an overview of urban migration in the Mediterranean region. Drafted on the basis of the City Migration Profiles of the cities of Amman, Beirut, Lisbon, Lyon, Madrid, Tangiers, Tunis, Turin and Vienna, it sheds light on cities’ challenges and capacities in dealing with issues of migration, diversity and integration.
About MC2CM | Mediterranean City-to-City Migration project
Migration is a defining feature of urbanisation. Cities are places where people come together to live, work and find opportunities. It is also in the city where the reality of social and economic accommodation of newcomers and their interaction with host community takes place.
In this context, the Mediterranean City-to-City Migration project (MC2CM) contributes to improved rights-based migration governance in cities. Through dialogue, knowledge and action, MC2CM anchors migration governance to a process of urban development planning.
